As they sailed, He fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. Luke 8: 23

Jesus fell asleep.
Because He knew He could.
Because God in Heaven, does not sleep or slumber.
Because He knew God was on His throne.
Because He knew that every purpose in His life had to be fulfilled.
Because He knew that God could not be stopped.
Because He knew that He wasn’t on His own but that God was with Him, taking care of Him, protecting Him, leading Him, guiding Him, opening doors, and fighting His battles.
So He fell asleep, letting the One who set the stars in place, guide their boat and their rest.

Jesus is our example.
And Because Jesus left in the physical, He and God sent us the Holy Spirit.
Who, is God inside us, taking care of us, protecting us, leading us, guiding us, opening doors, fighting our battles, so we will accomplish every purpose in our lives, too.

May we know that we know that we know, no matter the storm raging around us, we can rest, for God is in control and He will make the way, He will calm the storm, He will get us to all our purposes and we will fulfill every mission in our lives.
