Hidden Treasure

Invitees to the Feast of Heaven!
Members of His household!

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, He hid it again and then in His joy went and sold all He had and bought that field. Matthew 13: 44

God is telling us that He has more good for us than we can imagine. For He compared Heaven to a hidden treasure. The treasure being so amazing this man in His joy, in his joy, went and sold everything He had, everything He had, to get it.

God is letting us know He has such treasure for us. Treasure that we get to have, that will be ours. We live in the natural so we can’t readily see all of what it is like, but we get glimpses, daily from our Father.

When He provides the beauty for us in nature, we see glimpses of His majesty and artistry: a precursor to the glory of Heaven with sights, sounds, and wonders that will boggle the mind. When He provides a way through our troubles, we see His sovereignty in all situations: an atom of all the power and authority that the Maker of Heaven and Earth will exert for us in our futures, where we will rule reign with Him in eternity. When He provides a timely word or hug or blessing here and now, we see glimpses of the tender loving heart of our Father: just a molecule of water for the here and now that all the oceans on earth cannot compare to the love that will envelope us in His presence. This is our hidden treasure and so much more. For our life today, experiences in this short season, are just glimpses of what is to come, tasters, an appetizer of the greatest feast we have yet to attend.

As we get to know Him, His generous heart, to us and for us, we see more and more of the treasure He has for us in His Kingdom, the treasure of being with our Father, who chose us, who sent Jesus to buy us back, who has provided everything we have, who called us, and who chooses us forever.

May we know that we know that we know our Loving Heavenly Father has so much treasure for us today and forever.
