Always Near

Why were you searching for me? Didn’t you know I had to be in my father’s house. Luke 2: 43

Jesus is letting us know that we don’t have to search frantically for Him. That He will always be found by us. While they were having to seek the person of Jesus in the flesh at the temple, now our Lord sits at the right hand of God. We can talk to Him anytime, anyplace, anywhere because we are now the temple of God through Jesus Christ. He literally lives inside us.
Always Near.

For Jesus came down to make this possible for us. He became our sacrifice on the cross and rose again on the third day so we could receive the Holy Spirit: God’s Spirit to live inside us. We have literally become part of God, the Maker of All Things, the Most High God, the Ancient of Days, giving us Him, His Spirit, His heart, His power, His power that raised Jesus from the dead, to live inside us. This is the same Spirit that moved to create all of the universe, the galaxies, the sun, the moon, the stars, water, the earth, the breath we breathe. And He chose to come down and live inside us, unwilling to be parted from us, unwilling that we live lost without hope or without love or without wisdom.
Always Near.

So, no matter where we need Him, no matter when we need Him, no matter what we need, He is always near. He is always ready to listen to our prayers. He is always close enough to give us His wisdom. He is always close enough to fill us up with more of Him. He is always close enough to fill us up with more of His love. He is always close enough to give us His peace and His joy. He is always found by us, for He is always near.
Always Near.

May we know that we know that we know our Loving Father is always near.
