He Came To Us
Ones Who Wield the Sword of the Spirit.
Redeemed by the One True God.
Praise be to the God of Israel because He has come to His people and redeemed them. Luke 1: 68
Before we knew we needed saving, He came to us. We didn’t have to make the way to get to Him. He came to us. Before we were born, He sent provision for our salvations through Jesus Christ. He crossed the heavens and the galaxies. He left the beauty and majesty and holiness of God’s presence, a joy will we enter into one day, breaching the chasm, coming down to a fallen dark oppressed world, to set the captives free, just for you and me.
He came to us.
He said it’s the Father who draws us. He stands with His arms open wide, His heart pouring out, calling to us, wooing us, saying My Child, I love you, I choose you, I want to take care of you, I want to bless you, I want to free you and give you completeness and joy unspeakable for all eternity. I sent my son to pay for your captivity so you can have life and life in abundance, to never die but live, really truly live. To a place with no more fear, no more pain, no more sickness, full of peace, happiness, fullness of a love you have never experienced before, to be with me, for all time. All we have to do is say yes.
He came to us.
He knows what we were made for, for He made us. And He wants us to complete everything He made us for. Not just this small little life with obstacles and striving but a life forever, where the ground will yield to us and produce more beauty than we have seen in any sunrise or sunset, fjord of Norway or plains of Africa. Where we accomplish more than we ever imagined, where we will learn the mysteries of the universe and the galaxies beyond. Where we will do and see and experience love greater than this life could ever offer in a million years.
He knows the good He has for us, because He planned it for us.
And He knows we could not get to the good without Him.
So He came to us!
May we know that we know that we know, the unbelievably generous nature of our God, for He came to us.
