The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2: 17

The world and its desires
We won’t be taking our cars to heaven.
We wont be taking our jewelry to heaven.
The titles we have here on earth wont matter in heaven.
This world is passing away.
So God is telling us, we can live for a bigger future, an eternal future, something that will last and matter for all time.

Whoever does the will of God
The will of God is to believe in the one He sent.
Who did He send but Jesus Christ.
Jesus who lived a sinless life and climbed on the cross to pay for our sinful nature.
And as we believe in this beautiful savior, and His ways, we and what we do will live forever.

Everything we do with and for Jesus is being accumulated in Heaven, growing our treasury of titles and accolades and all the new purposes we have yet to taste.

May we know that we know that we know while this world is temporary we have a future to behold that will surpass everything we have seen and experienced here, as we walk with our beautiful savior Jesus.
