More Blessed

New Creations in Christ Jesus!
Those who Jesus says Come You Who are Blessed by My Father, Take Your Inheritance, the Kingdom Prepared for You Since the Creation of the World!

For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5: 20

The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were all about doing the right thing. They followed the letter of the law.
They were attempting to live a perfect life and looked down on those who didn’t. Even persecuted those who didn’t.

But Jesus is outlining how to fulfill the law.
He is telling us the impossible standard of perfection that the law required to be met.
That though the Pharisees and teachers of the law looked holy, they still did not meet the law’s requirements.
For Jesus tells us that indeed our hearts need to be changed.
He was setting the stage to show them that only He, God Himself, God’s chosen Son walking around could meet this standard.

That all of us need Jesus, His sacrifice, His completion of the law to meet the standard God requires.

For those of us who have received Jesus’s perfection for our sinful nature,

Now we get to follow Jesus out of love.
Now we get to follow His ways knowing that we can’t fail.
Now we get to do what He asked, knowing that all that is waiting for us in Heaven is rewards.
Now we get to, instead of have to.
And Now we get blessed more and more because we do.

May we know that we know that we know, that since we accepted Jesus as Lord, now that He completed the law, we are only following to be more blessed.
