He Set Us Apart
All Together Beautiful Ones!
Radiant Ones of God!
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1: 5
Jeremiah was called by God as a young man, the purposes of his life set into motion before he entered the world. So too for us. For we are God’s masterpiece created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them (Ephesians 2: 10). God knit us together in our mother’s wombs, choosing every freckle, every dimple, numbering the hairs on our head — every single thing that makes us, us — so we could be who He called us to be, so that we could fulfill every purpose He has given us.
Before we were born, He set us apart.
And these good works we will do, have a much bigger longer lasting purpose for our lives. For in this short season, as we walk getting to learn, to see and to know how much our Maker in Heaven really loves us, we are compelled to lead others to Him, so they don’t miss out. But God in His amazing capacity to engineer and coordinate the most incredible interweaving plans for our lives and others around us, is at the same time, training and preparing us for our real destinies, our greater purposes in eternity with God - a time that will never end.
Before we were born, He set us apart.
For He has been preparing us for eternity with Him, the place where we really belong and will do our real calling. It is a place of fullness of love, overwhelming joy, more happiness than a baby’s giggle, peace that surpasses all understanding, a fullness, a completeness in our soul, a time to learn, explore and plumb the depths of God’s wisdom and investigate all the mysteries of the universe. A place where death and sickness do not exist. A place where the lion and the lamb lay down together. All while enjoying the presence of our Loving Father and our Saving Brother and the Spirit of the Lord.
Before we were born, He set us apart.
May we know that we know that before we were born God set us apart.
May we know that we know all the good that He set us apart for.
