In our surprise: We are His Treasure

Loved Ones of the Father.
New Creations in Christ Jesus!

But the Father said to His servants, Quick bring the best robe and put it on Him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. Luke 15: 22-23

Luke 15 speaks of lost sheep, lost coins, lost sons, and the people who are hunting for lost things:
things they treasure, things of value, things of worth.
And in our surprise, God is telling us, that like lost sheep, lost coins, lost sons, We Are The Treasure, we are the thing of value, we are the thing of worth, He is hunting to find.
We are His Treasure.

We look at ourselves seeing what we did wrong, what we thought wrong, the mistakes of our past.
We come seeking God for pittance, saying to Him please, if I could just have this small thing, this small promise, still seeing ourselves from the tarnished eyes of the world.
As we make the smallest move to God, we come hoping that He will let us in, hoping for the tiniest shred of mercy.
But We are His Treasure.

And in our surprise, He comes running to us.
In our surprise, He rejoices, Heaven rejoices, the angels rejoice.
In our surprise, God sweeps us up into His loving arms.
In our surprise, He says I’m not just going to meet your basic needs, I am going to bless your socks off!
For We are His Treasure.

In our surprise, He covers us with overwhelming unmerited love and grace, a tsunami of love and tenderness.
In our surprise, He covers our dirtiness with a royal robe of majesty, coating us with His cleanliness, and His holiness.
In our surprise, He gives us His ring of authority, a ring that signifies our forever belonging in His family, reestablishing us His son, His daughter, forever.

In our surprise, He brings us provision for our feet, separating us from the natural, the dust of the earth, giving us a new supernatural nature, an immortal spirit that fills us up from the top of our head to the tip of our toes, making us new.
In our surprise, He blesses us abundantly with every provision.
In our surprise, He throws us a luxurious party having everyone come join, to welcome us home.

In our surprise, He gives us a new title, the Found, the Loved, the Redeemed, His.
For We are His Treasure.

May we know that we know that we know, We Are His Treasure.
