Into the Deep

Leapers of Faith!!
Those Swimming in the Deep!

Put out in the deep water and let down your nets for a catch. Luke 5: 4

Jesus is saying, jump in.
Give it all.
Don’t hold back.
Trust Him.
Trust His Words to be True.
Go into the deep.
Where we can’t see the ground beneath us.
Where we can’t tell what’s below.
Where we don’t know the place, for we haven’t been here before.

What would we do, how deep would walk in faith, if we took Him at His words.
If we really believed what He says,
Would we speak to the mountain?
Would we pray for those people?
Would we give that amount of money?
Would we say the words that we have been longing to say?
Would we take that step of faith we keep thnking about?

The disciples did, looking around, having labored all night, being seasoned fisherman, and had nothing to show for it. But they had started to believe in Jesus, so they believed His words, and they received a much greater blessing than an astonishing catch of fish. They received the truth that Jesus is the Messiah, who was God on earth, who could bring forth miracles to pass, who knew the wisdom of God, who’s mere presence was their greatest hope fulfilled, everything they needed and wanted and had been hoping for.
Who brought them eternal life, and all their needs mets today as well.

May we know that we know that we know, as we launch out into the deep with our faith in Jesus, we get a much greater blessing than what we were walking in faith for, a certain confidence in the One and Only that is more than able and willing.
