They came to a place named Golgotha (which means place of the skull). Matthew 27: 33

I have read that this is the place where David buried Goliath’s head.
Jesus is the mercy that covers the law and all the transgressions of our sinful nature.
So for Him to be crucified over the enemy’s head, is literally and symbolically to cover all the enemies of God with the mercy of God.
For we were all God’s enemies, while we still had our sinful nature that kept us separate, at war with God.
But then Jesus covered us with His mercy at the cross, giving us peace with God, now His Children, His Sons and Daughters.

And because of His sacrifice we are given a new nature, The Holy Spirit.
He replaces our old sinful heart and transplants His perfect Holy heart.
Jesus said that only our heart made us unclean, because unclean thoughts came from our heart.
But now we have the Holy Spirit,
Which is and Who is the sound mind, the mind of Christ, now dwelling in us, directing us, leading us and guiding us.

So Jesus was crucified at the place of the skull, to give us a new mind, a sound mind, the Heart of God, the perfect new nature, the Holy Spirit, our guide forever.

May we know that we know that we know, we have peace with God through Jesus Christ, who gave us our new perfectly Holy righteous spirit, that produces in us and through us, His sound mind, the Mind of Christ.
