Debts Paid

Ones Who’s Debts are Forever Paid by the Spotless Lamb!
Ones Who Walk in the Wisdom of the Way, the Truth and the Life!

But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. Matthew 9: 6

Until this time, Jesus’s ministry, everyone to get forgiven of their sins had to travel to the temple in Jerusalem and sacrifice an animal.
Every year they had to make a pilgrimage sending money and time and giving an animal on their behalf.
Every year hoping they would be better so they didn’t have to keep doing this.
Every year coming to the altar, hoping they did enough to pay for their sins.

And Here was Jesus, the Messiah, telling them He has the authority to forgive their sins, by just speaking the words.

Because of Jesus,
We don’t have to make a pilgrimage to a foreign destination to meet with God.
We don’t have to spend money, travel far, and give a sacrifice for our sins.
Jesus already paid for it for us.
Now all we have to do is receive His permanent, forever, beautiful sacrifice for our sins, once and for all.
He paid it.
It is finished.
Now we just receive.

And every time we sin, we get to be blessed, reminding ourselves, Look what the Lord has done.
He has already paid for us.
He knew I would fail this way, and He still died for me.
He knew I would need His covering this way and that way and He still chose to die for me.
He knew every sin I would commit and He said, She/He is mine, I am paying for that.

It is paid in full!

It is finished!

And now like the paralyzed man, given legs, I have legs to walk around and tell the world, the love of my savior, who paid it all, all sins past, present and future, paid in full and speak of His wonders and my gratitude for His unfathomable love for us.

May we know that we know that we know, the incredible gift we received when received Jesus payment for all our sins.
