For You Are With Me

Those Who have the Peace that Surpasses All Understanding!!
Children Who Will Pass through The Waters and Not be Overwhelmed, Who Will Walk Through Fires and Not be Burned!!!

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and staff comfort me. Psalm 23: 4

My Dad had us as children memorize this whole psalm.
The older I get the more and more I realize the wisdom in that.
I always quoted this psalm for my safety, reminding myself that Jesus was walking with me, I have nothing to fear.
For Jesus conquered the grave, death, and hell, having disarmed the enemy.
And if anyone tried anything, This superman, Jesus, God Himself is with me to protect me.
But I also have come to realize that this is also Jesus’s journey.

For Jesus had to first walk through the darkest valley of death to save me, and all people first.
Jesus the first born of the dead, had to take this journey with God, first, God walking with Him through this valley.
That we would know Jesus, our Messiah, is perfectly able to get us through any and every valley of darkness, for He already went through it for us, so He could come back and walk us through it, protecting us, having all the proven scars and badges for us to believe He can and will get us through safely.

May we know that we know that we know, Jesus has been through The Darkest Valley —so we don’t have to walk through that one —but He will get us, walking with us through our dark valleys.
