Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. I am willing He said, “Be Clean!” Immediately, he was cleansed of his leprosy. Matthew 8: 3

Jesus chose to touch the untouchable, a man who could not be touched in the natural by anyone due to his disease.
And Jesus chose to bring healing through His hand.
He who is the Word of God, the literal Words of God, manifesting in flesh, could have spoken healing over this man.
For God spoke all of creation into existence.
Jesus spoke to the man looking for healing for His son, saying Go your son will be healed
Jesus told the centurion, go let it be done as you believed.
Jesus spoke to the wind and the waves to make them stop.
Jesus spoke to the demon possessed men, and with one word delivered them.

But Jesus chose to touch the untouchable.
Jesus chose to bring healing to the leper, Not just his body, but his heart, and his mind.
For Jesus was willing to touch a man who could not be touched.
For Jesus wanted to make him whole again.
So He touched Him, removing the shame, removing the loneliness, restoring his humanity, along with his health.

May we know that we know that we know, the loving hands of our beautiful savior who seeks to make us whole again.
